Carolina graduated from the Universidad de Nuestra Señora del Rosario (University of our Rosary Lady), located in Bogotá, Colombia. She has been practicing physical therapy since 1997 and received her first myofascial release certification in 1998 through the Total Therapy Institute located in Brussels, Belgium. She moved to Florida in 2003 and has been practicing here since 2005. Carolina came across John Barnes method by coincidence – a coincidence that awoke a strong interest in her due to her background as a myofascial release therapist and the similarities between his and her approach. She took her first seminar with John Barnes in the spring of 2010 and throughout the years she has become more passionate about myofascial release. Eventually, she made the full transition to a myofascial release therapist instead of simply using the technique as a manual technique during treatments.
